Yayasan Pemulih Nusantara (Muliantara) is a Non-Government Organization established on August 27, 2017. Our goal is to develop prosperous and sustainable society in Indonesia through:

  1. enhancement of communities’ understanding, participation, and expertise on sustainable development;

  2. restoration of indigenous ecosystems and biodiversity conservation;

  3. development of communities’ creative economy based on local resources and culture; and

  4. development of communities’ resilience and readiness to respond climate change impacts in Indonesian archipelago.


Currently, Muliantara is working on ecosystem restoration, eco-tourism development, community preparation and climate resilience establishment, and education for sustainable development (ESD). Our recent project in Indonesia is the development of Kampung Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Village) in Menarbu Village, Roon District, Teluk Wondama Regency, Papua Barat Province dan Napan Yaur Village, Teluk Umar District, Nabire Regency, Papua Province. In this project, our programs are:

  1. research and action on biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration;

  2. analysis on governmental policies related to biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, development of climate resilience and readinessand development of creative economy based on local biodiversity and culture;

  3. action to encourage sustainable utilization of biodiversity and local culture through creative economy (e.g. eco-tourism);

  4. education and actions to increase community awareness on biodiversity conservation, local culture, climate change, entrepreneurship, and creative economy especially

Through Kampung Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Village) project, Muliantara encourages local communities to work closely with local government and stakeholders to develop better understanding on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), implement its concept and values on daily activities, and contribute to global means towards sustainable development.
